Porn Stars and Sex Education

Porn Stars and Sex Education

Like this, but with a porn star.

I don’t own this image.

In news that is bouncing around the internet, the Head of The Leys school of Cambridge is suggesting having a porn actress come to their prestigious school to teach sex education. The principal, Mark Slater, is quoted in The Sun as saying, “If somebody is spending their life doing that they may not have the sort of perspective on life that we would want.” But, “I wouldn’t rule it out — simply because of what they have done in their life — if I felt that person was going to put across good values and be a good influence.”

This is the same school that brought up Christopher and Peter Hitchens, a great voice in atheism and his rather religious brother. If they are even considering something like this for their sex ed, you have to wonder what they have going on now.

Not that there isn’t something to be gained from listening to a porn actress (it was actress, in this case). If you could find the proper speaker who can tell students all about the reality behind the fluff and mirrors, it would definitely be worth it. The wide difference between what sex is like, and what sex is presented as in internet boob dens like Redtube or Xtube, is a gap no male sex enhancement drugs could fill.

And lets be serious here, if you are thinking that your kid isn’t looking at porn, you’re probably wrong. If you think you can stop your kid from looking at porn with some stern looks and some well-meaning computer malware, you are double wrong. If you think your kid isn’t looking at porn because you have a little girl, still wrong. Children crave this information, and they will find it. Sometimes they can’t help but find it. You are just minding your own business, playing some flash games on your tablet, then an ad shows up on the side that offers you free tits. Heck, they might even give you a sample right there in the ad. You didn’t raise a fool, they know a good deal (and/or pair) when they see one.

If you listen to Nick Luxmoore, kids crave the knowledge. High school me, I wanted to know anything about boobs I could get me hands on, especially if the knowledge in question was ‘what does it feel like to squeeze a pair of boobs.’ But when we leave things mysterious, they will find the information for themselves. Sometimes it can turnout okay, or just mildly weird. Other times, when kids end up on the wrong porn site, looking at hardcore and violent material, we could ruin a wonderful thing for a lot of people.

So teach them with a porn actress, or the gym teacher, I don’t care. Lets just make sure that  kids are being taught the real thing, they can tell when you’re faking it.
